Summary:
While robots aren’t ready to take over the world just yet, artificial intelligence is fast transforming the career development landscape. As AI capabilities rapidly advance, career counselors and coaches need to understand how these technologies may disrupt, enhance, or change the nature of career development. In this webinar, we will examine pragmatic AI applications to provide guidance for assessment, exploration, decision making, skills development, and job search strategies – tasks forming the core of career counseling activities.

Although robot assistants may be part of our future, it is essential for today’s counselors to learn how current AI career assistants analyze user data, provide personalized career recommendations, develop custom resumes, match candidates to best-fit jobs, and even actively coach clients through the job search process via chatbots. This webinar recording will compare the capabilities of leading AI-powered career tools and platforms and provide insights into how AI applications will continue to evolve in the next few years. Additionally, we explore key ethical considerations around privacy, transparency, and accountability as well as the outlook for increasing integration of AI in career services. The goal is to equip career advisors and coaches with a deeper understanding of existing and emerging intelligent technologies shaping the field so they can evaluate integration opportunities and practice implications.

Overall, this webinar recording will help practitioners to understand why AI developments are tied to the need for additional counselor and coach skill sets. We focus on real-world tools and ethical issues that attendees can expect to take away from the session to apply in their career development work and make more informed business decisions.
