Webinar Description: As artificial intelligence tools become increasingly integrated into the job search process—from resume writing and personal branding to interview preparation—career counselors and coaches must be equipped to guide students and clients in using these technologies responsibly and strategically. This program offers career development professionals in higher education and private practice the knowledge and tools to navigate the evolving AI landscape.
Participants will explore practical applications of AI in career services, examine the ethical considerations around bias, data privacy, and authenticity, and learn how to empower clients to leverage AI tools while maintaining personal agency and integrity. Through real-world examples and hands-on demonstrations, attendees will leave with actionable strategies to enhance their practice and support informed, ethical AI use in career development.

Demonstrate understanding of current AI technologies used in career development and their impact on job search strategies, aligning with NCDA’s Technology competency.
Analyze ethical considerations related to AI in career counseling, including bias, data usage, and transparency, in accordance with the Ethical and Legal Issues competency.

Your Presenter: Lisa Tarsi Andrews, PhD, CCC, CMCS
Lisa Tarsi Andrews, PhD, CCC, CMCS, is a nationally award-winning career counselor with 30 years of experience in the higher education and nonprofit sectors. She has coached diverse groups, including adolescents, college students, veterans, C-suite professionals, and individuals navigating career transitions, as well as volunteering with marginalized populations. Lisa holds a BS in Psychology (Elizabethtown College), an MS in Counseling & Human Relations (Villanova University), and a PhD in Higher Education (University of Arizona). She is a Certified Career Counselor (CCC) and Certified Master of Career Services (CMCS). Currently, she is the Director of Integrated Career Development at Georgetown University and runs a private practice, Look Forward Careers.
