Description: Artificial intelligence (AI), primarily large language models are become more and more prevalent in career services as AI has become more capable. Since AI is still new to career development practitioners, it is imperative that practitioners be aware of the opportunities and pitfalls of AI programs and products.

To address the issue, the National Career Development Association convened an AI Task Force. One outgrowth of that group was the creation of the Framework for the Ethical and Effective Use of AI in Career Services. This course will review these ethical principles and provide the opportunity for career counselors and coaches to identify missteps and recognize proper ethical behavior. It will do this through videos, readings, activities, and scenarios.

The course is pertinent to career counselors, career coaches, workforce development staff, rehabilitation counselors, school counselors, and any career services staff in an institution, or organization, business  or in private practice.
